On Sunday, July 18th my family and I were invited by the Cleveland Indians to enjoy a game from the Social Media Deck at Progressive Field. The Indians are the first (and only I believe) team in MLB to offer fans this opportunity. The entire game was on the Indians dime and the staff made sure we had everything we needed (including the pre-game press release). We quickly met the other family that was also enjoying the Social Media Deck and got logged in to the free Wi-Fi. Most of you probably saw it on twitter, but we were live … Continue reading Social Media Deck at Progressive Field
I had to do a quick repost. Important note..THIS IS A REPOST! We’re not expecting a child. We were, however, expecting our third child 4 years ago when North Carolina was set to play for the National Championship. Those that have been here since the beginning might remember the chain of events that started the night before. In case you missed it, it was worth revisiting. Below you have my posts from the Sunday before the National Championship and the Day after. Good times… Quite A Dilemma (April 2, 2005) Okay, so one of your favorite teams is on the verge … Continue reading Memory Lane
I confirmed my tickets to the Brickyard NASCAR race on July 27th today. Now if I could just find my cup holder hat. Odds are pretty good I will be somewhere in Ford Field on December 3rd with my son for The Tar Heels vs. Michigan State game. How far is it from Charlotte to Detroit? I’m going to hold a garage sale to unload all of my Raiders gear (Zubaz anyone?). I have officially left the “Raider Nation” to follow the Carolina Panthers. We also keep an eye on the Indianapolis Colts (it’s a Dungy thing). Been a busy … Continue reading Random Sports
I may bleed Carolina Blue, but no matter where I may roam, a large part of my heart belongs to my hometown of Cleveland, Ohio. Thanks to the ultimate hook-up from my friend Brian, “The Boy” and I had a chance on Saturday night to soak it all in. Check this out: Brian won four tickets from the local sports station to take part in their “Fan Bus to Jacobs Progressive Field”. Knowing I love the Tribe, he was kind enough to extend his winnings to “The Boy” and I. So Saturday we took off for C-Town with a bus … Continue reading Priceless….
Let’s take a stroll down memory lane…shall we? For those that have followed this thing since the beginning, you might remember when I wrote a post 3 years ago about a dilemma I was having (HERE). Matter of fact, last time the Tar Heels played for a championship, Heather almost had a baby…literally! (Details HERE) So it just seems appropriate that we are steamrolling our way into Final Four weekend and the Karma is everywhere. See if you can follow the bouncing ball on this one. You might have noticed that I am trying to discern a major decision which … Continue reading For The Love Of…
