Cavs get Danny Green!

Cavs fans are going to love this guy. Perfect player to come off the bench for this team. Ellington almost fell to them at 30 but got taken at 28. Not sure what Danny Ferry was thinking taking that kid from Congo when Blair and Young were still available, but he made up for that with this selection! Big, big, BIG night in our house. Hansbrough goes to the Pacers (just 2 hours to our West) and Green goes to the Cavs (just 2 hours to the North). Am I happy???

You really think he is a solid nba talent? I’m not seeing it.
In terms of Tyler Hansbrough, I think he is going to have a very nice NBA career. Will he be the next Larry Bird? No way. The shots he made in college will never work in the NBA. He struggles against longer, taller defenders. But one thing I know about Hansbrough (that has been beaten to death) is that he will work as hard, if not harder than every single NBA player. There are a lot of guys with twice as much talent that will never out work him. He’ll develop the areas that he needs to (jump shot from 15 feet) and continue to work until he gets it. Again, he is going to be an average NBA player for a long, long time. The question is if you would rather have a consistent, hard working player that never takes a day off, or a guy that gets you 30 for a few seasons and then is gone. Know what I mean?
In terms of Green, I really, really believe that this guy is going to be great in Cleveland. Not 2o-a-night great, but he is a perfect fit on this team. He’ll come in and play defense and knock down the open 3. They brought him in to work out the past 2 summers before the draft and he won every competition they put him in. Didn’t lose one of them. He is highly underrated and can contribute right away. Some of the best Carolina players came out to little fan fare and were great because the system they came from. Green is going to be a great pick up that people will be talking about. Bank on it.
